Another member of the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is under criminal investigation, according to a report released by Politico on Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Biden’s brother and suspected business associate James Biden are also on the radar of federal prosecutors, reported the source.

The news came after Joe Biden’s son Hunter admitted that he had been under investigation by the U.S. Grand Jury. Attorney’s office in Delaware for his “tax affairs” since 2018.

Politico said that the federal investigation “has been more extensive than the statement from Hunter Biden indicates.”

“In addition to the probe into Hunter Biden, federal authorities in the Western District of Pennsylvania are conducting a criminal investigation of a hospital business in which Joe Biden’s brother James was involved,” the paper states.

“Federal officials have asked questions about James Biden’s role in the business, according to a second person with direct knowledge of that investigation, who said it remains ongoing,” Politico continues.

“FBI agents, meanwhile, have been asking about James Biden’s dealings with the hospital company Americore Health, an operator of rural hospitals, as part of an investigation based out of the Western District of Pennsylvania,” it added.

Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, said in October 2019 that Joe Biden’s denial of any information or involvement in his son’s international dealings was a blatant lie.”

Bobuliski also said that in 2017 he raised concerns with James Biden (Jim Biden) about Joe Biden’s alleged ties to a potential joint venture with a Chinese energy company.

“I remember saying, ‘How are you guys getting away with this?’ ‘Aren’t you concerned?’” Bobulinski said on Fox News “Tucker Carlson Tonight”

Bobulinski said that Jim Biden then chuckled, “‘Plausible Deniability.’ He said it directly to me in a cabana at the Peninsula Hotel.”

Jim Biden refused to answer questions from Fox News about his family’s overseas business dealings.

According to CBS’s senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge, the investigation of Hunter Biden began in 2018 but went “quiet” during the 2020 election.

“Two sources familiar with the investigation tell @CBSNews the HB ‘tax’ probe began in 2018. The sources explained that during the election season the investigation went quiet, otherwise known as going ‘covert’ + noted that it would have violated policy at DOJ/FBI by taking any said ‘ove’ steps that would impact the election,” she wrote on Twitter.

Citing comments by Carlson and the New York Post, Miranda Devine, President Donald Trump said that Hunter’s investigation was kept away from the public so as not to influence the election results.

The Senate releases the report on ‘Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Corruption’

A new Senate report released Wednesday concludes that former Vice President Joe Biden allowed Hunter Biden and other members of his family to enrich themselves through links with foreign companies and governments while he was in office.

It adds that “Hunter Biden, his family, and [business partner Devon] Archer received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds.” It notes that Hunter Biden went on a “$100,000 global spending spree with James Biden and Sara Biden” after receiving money from a Chinese investor.

The report, titled, “Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Corruption: The Impact on U.S. Government Policy and Related Concerns,” can be found on the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs website.

“The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC) and the Senate Committee on Finance undertook this investigation into potential conflicts of interest, and the involvement of the Biden family in foreign business ventures while Joe Biden was vice president, following allegations that the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy could have been affected by Hunter Biden’s position on the board of Burisma, and that family members may have improperly sought to benefit from their relationship with the vice president,” the report states.
