Trump on unrest in Israel: ‘Under Biden, the world is getting more violent’

Former President Donald Trump released a statement to confirm his support for the state of Israel during the ongoing conflict in the region with Hamas and other Palestinian groups.

The former president also blasted President Joe Biden, saying that his “weakness” has led to new attacks on American allies.

“When I was in office we were known as the Peace Presidency, because Israel’s adversaries knew that the United States stood strongly with Israel and there would be swift retribution if Israel was attacked. Under Biden, the world is getting more violent and more unstable because Biden’s weakness and lack of support for Israel is leading to new attacks on our allies.”

Trump went on by attacking Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, who was criticized yesterday for saying that Israel defending itself from Hamas rocket attacks amounted to terrorism.

“Unbelievably, Democrats also continue to stand by crazed anti-American Rep. Ilhan Omar, and others, who savagely attack Israel while they are under terrorist assault.”

“America must always stand with Israel and make clear that the Palestinians must end the violence, terror, and rocket attacks, and make clear that the U.S. will always strongly support Israel’s right to defend itself,” the former president added.

The conflict between Israel and Gaza has continued to escalate with Hamas launching a barrage of rockets Tuesday evening over Tel Aviv, Israel’s largest city.

Israel kills high-level Hamas commander during airstrike

The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed it killed a high-level Hamas commander during an airstrike against the designated terrorist group.

“We just killed the commander of the Hamas anti-tank missile unit, Iyad Fathi Faik Sharir. He was in charge of carrying out anti-tank missile attacks on Israel. Our aircraft are currently striking additional terror targets in Gaza,” the Israel Defense Force (IDF) wrote on Twitter Tuesday as it launched attacks in Gaza.

Israel said that it would continue to launch attacks against Hamas after the group fired hundreds of rockets into Jerusalem, the capital, and other parts of the country.

Some 130 Palestinian targets were struck by the IDF on Monday and Tuesday, according to another statement.

“Overnight, in response to continuous rocket fire from the Gaza Strip at Israeli territory, the IDF struck over 130 terror targets belonging to terror organizations in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said. “In the first and second stages of the strikes, IDF fighter jets, attack helicopters and aircraft struck weapons manufacturing sites belonging to the Hamas terror organization.”

‘Their Blood Is On Their Own Hands’: Netanyahu Says

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threw down the gauntlet to Hamas and Islamic Jihad during a Tuesday evening press conference, during which he reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to defend itself against terrorism.

“Hamas and Islamic Jihad have paid and will pay a very heavy price for their aggression. I say here this evening: their blood is on their own hands” Netanyahu said of the two terrorist organizations, according to The Times of Israel.

“Yesterday and today, the IDF attacked hundreds of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip. We have eliminated dozens of terrorists, including senior commanders. We have bombed Hamas command centers and toppled buildings that serve the terrorist organizations. We will continue to attack with full force,” the prime minister said.

“Citizens of Israel, we stand united against a reprehensible enemy. We all grieve for those who have been killed. We all pray for the well-being of the wounded,” Netanyahu added.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz followed up the prime minister by saying “this is just the beginning — the first in a long line of actions we have planned.”

“I tell you something else this evening: this campaign will take time. With determination, unity and strength, we will restore security to the citizens of Israel,” said Netanyahu.
