Agents that can be aerosol-transmitted and/or cause severe to fatal disease in humans are handled in biosafety level four (BSL4) facilities. The news comes after Fauci praised Xi Jinping awards for American researchers yesterday.
A new e-mail confirms a previous National Pulse report on the relationship between the Chinese Communist Party-run institute and the Galveston National Laboratory (GNL), which claims to have been built “under grants awarded by [Fauci’s] National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).”
A 2017 e-mail exchange between Fauci and GNL director James LeDuc, obtained by The National Pulse, confirms the lab’s collaboration with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
On October 31st, 2017, LeDuc sent Fauci an email titled “China BSL4 labs,” in which he reminds Fauci of their conversation “regarding collaborations with the new Chinese [biosafety level 4] labs.” The “Chinese Academy of Sciences (Wuhan BSL4)” is one of the labs mentioned by LeDuc.
LeDuc notes that “the directors of each of these 3 new labs has agreed to come to Galveston”:
