Attorney General Mark Brnovich has launched an investigation into Maricopa County’s failure to comply with Arizona State Senator Sonny Borrelli’s valid and enforceable legislative subpoenas.
Senator Borrelli made the request after Maricopa County officials refused to comply with a Senate subpoena last week.
The Attorney General will open an investigation and issue a report within 30 days.
The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors will have 30 days to resolve any violations found. If they don’t succeed, “the Attorney General will notify the State Treasurer, who will withhold and redistribute state shared monies from Maricopa County.”
The Attorney General’s Office has asked the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to respond in writing by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021.
Senator Wendy Rogers of Arizona announced the news on Twitter.
Senator Rogers has started a petition to decertify the fraudulent election.
