Document Authenticity Checklist

Run a ten-point provenance check on a PDF, memo, screenshot or leaked file before relying on it.

Method and assumptions

Each checked item is one documented step. The checklist intentionally separates provenance from interpretation. A document can score well for authenticity while still being a draft, allegation, projection or advocacy document that does not prove the attached claim.

For consequential allegations, preserve the authoritative copy and a second source that explains how the document fits the underlying process.

Limits

The “Document Authenticity Checklist” utility organizes evidence; it does not determine truth automatically.
