Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said Wednesday that she would be filing articles of impeachment against President-elect Joe Biden the day following Biden’s expected inauguration.

Greene, a freshman representative, voted against Trump second impeachment on Wednesday. According to her Twitter feed, Greene plans on attempting to impeach Joe Biden on his first official day in office.

“On January 21, 2021, I’ll be filing Articles of Impeachment against Joe Biden for abuse of power,” Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted.

In a Wednesday interview on Newsmax, Greene said, “On behalf of the American people, we have to make sure that our leaders are held accountable. We cannot have a President of the United States that is willing to abuse the power of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies.”

“I can’t imagine people in this country being so fearful of the future of a Biden presidency that they may be willing to commit violence like they did in the Capitol here in Washington, D.C.,” she added.

“I’m tired of Republicans who lay down and allow this country to be ravaged, allow Democrats to abuse their power in their positions, and I believe it’s time for Republicans to stand up for the American people and do a good job in Congress,” Greene told Wednesday’s “Greg Kelly Reports.”

“If they want to lower the bar on what impeachment is then, yes, let’s roll with it,” Greene said. “Americans want this to happen. Americans are sick and tired and fed up.

“We don’t need a man serving in the presidency of the United States who is guilty of committing the crime of abuse of power and is under investigation with Hunter Biden’s laptop, his very own son. This is not the direction our country needs to go in and I hope my Republican colleagues agree with me.”

Greene pointed to the video of Biden telling the story of withholding foreign aid from Ukraine, and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ website fundraising to bail out rioters this summer.

“There is an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s laptop in being bought and paid for by Chinese communist energy companies,” she continued. “This is a dangerous threat to our country, when we have a man that will be holding the power of the presidency but will so easily and is on record for abusing power.

“These people need to be held accountable. Republicans have not been strong enough in doing that.”

In a 2017 video, Marjorie Taylor Greene described Trump’s presidency as “a once in a lifetime opportunity to take this global cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles out, and I think we have the president to do it.”

The support of Trump by Greene persisted as the president repeatedly argued that Democrats had stolen the election from him. Greene declared in December that she would join with other GOP representatives to object to Biden’s win.

“I’ve got President Trump’s back,” Marjorie Taylor Greene said at a Georgia rally. “You wanna know why? He has our back.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene voted against the impeachment, saying that Democrats had turned a blind eye to riots against racism and police brutality during the summer of 2020. “Democrats support defunding the police when it’s someone else’s city, someone else’s home, and someone else’s business,” she said during the House impeachment hearing.

Constitutional law expert Alan Dershowitz warned the Senate during the first impeachment trial of President Donald Trump that attempting to impeach a president for an abuse of power is a slippery slope that would endanger democracy.

Rep. Taylor Greene: Democratic party is ‘party of domestic terrorism’

In a furious condemnation during an interview on Newsmax TV’s “John Bachman Now,” Taylor Greene fiercely defended President Donald Trump as the House moved to impeach him — an effort that has garnered the support of Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., the third highest GOP leader.

“I find it absolutely disgraceful that the chairwoman of the House Republican Conference would join the Democrats and their impeachment, their witch hunt, lies,” Taylor Greene railed.

According to Taylor Greene, “every single one of those Democrats are guilty of … the same crime they’re accusing President Trump of, which President Trump is innocent.”

“He told his supporters at the [White House rally on Jan. 6] to protest peacefully… and patriotically march to the Capitol,” she said. “He did not call for riots. He did not call for an attack. He did not plan it. He did not promote it, and he did not cause this attack to happen.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene alleged Democrats have done worse.

“The Democrats are the ones that supported the BLM and antifa violent riots [that] burned down cities, occupied cities and terrorized Americans for the past year,” she charged. “And then they funded BLM on their fundraising platform Act Blue.”

“The Democrat Party is the party of domestic terrorism,” she alleged. “The Democratic Party are the ones that should be held accountable for all of the violence, destruction …that has been wreaked on this country the past year.”

“So go ahead Democrats,” Marjorie Taylor Greene warned. “If this is what you want to do, you will definitely get a taste of your own medicine.”
