Evidence Weighting Matrix

Score the structure of evidence behind a claim using directness, independence, primary records, corroboration and contradiction checks.

Method and assumptions

The maximum score is 10. The matrix gives more weight to primary evidence and independent corroboration because those two properties reduce dependence on repeated reporting from a single source. It deliberately gives no points for popularity, virality or the number of sites repeating the same claim.

A high structural score can still support a false conclusion if the evidence is misread. Treat the output as a reminder of what you have documented, then inspect the actual content and limitations of each source.

Limits

The “Evidence Weighting Matrix” utility organizes evidence; it does not determine truth automatically.
